What is TANlock?

TANlock is a simplicity and robustness-based system for securing your server or network cabinet.

Delivery TANlock

The scope of supply of the TANlock includes a robust electronic server cabinet lock for the replacement of an existing, mechanical handle or lock, including the required mounting material. The software for operating the TANlock is located on the lock and is included in delivery.

Power supply TANlock

Since TANlock is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), no additional power is needed. To check if PoE is present in the cabinet, look at the different slots for network cables and look for PoE. If you do not have a PoE in the server cabinet, you will need a PoE injector.

Accessories door contact

For reliable monitoring of your server enclosure door with the TANlock system, it is recommended to provide at least one door contact per door.

Accessories programming cable

TANlock is supplied by us with a basic configuration. For deeper configurations and firmware updates of the TANlock, a programming cable is required. However, the management of the accesses is also possible without this cable.

Adapter for special server cabinets

TANlock is designed in such a way that it can be mounted directly on most standard server cabinets in a few simple steps. If you own a server cabinet from APC, Rittal, Knürr, Emerson or Vertiv, an additional adapter is required.

Number of doors to be secured

A server cabinet usually has a door at the front and a door at the back. Both doors are to be secured. In a simple situation it may be sufficient to secure only one door with the TANlock.
